Stand Above The Crowd With The Best Blogs
Tuesday, September 30th, 2008
A blog’s entire purpose is to share text information that hopefully a large number of people will loyally read. The problem is that so many people are trying the same thing by posting blogs. It can be difficult to stand above the crowd of so many blogs. How do you maintain the interest of the readers?
Most of the time visitors just scan the blog for any points that catch their attention than reading the entire blog. So the main goal when writing a goal becomes to catch the attention of the visitor in the first few seconds so that they continue to read the entire blog. Given below are few helpful points to keep in mind when writing a blog post.
Snag the focus of the visitor: Make them curious by creating short paragraphs that have sections text emphasized or set in bold headings. Clearly displaying these sections will provide enough highlights to the reader of the general sense of the entire article. The reader can zoom quickly to the sections of interest and study further your blog article. Keeping each point of your headings clearly displayed and intriguing will draw their interest.
Add a thousand words to your blog with a relevant picture at the top of your blog entry. An attractive photo can grab someone’s attention even if the headline is not that great. They can study the image and see if it relates to the blog. That means they are still on your webpage!
Fire away with bullet points: Bullets points in lists are highly effective in quickly conveying your points in a condensed format. Such brief points attracts the blog reader to read and more importantly think of what you have stated. Reading such concise points builds interest and increases the odds they will read the rest of your blog.
First Write the content, then the title: The title of the blog should present the full ideas in the blog and at the same time it should be catchy. So it is a good idea to first write the blog completely and then write a title for it. In this way it becomes easy to create a title that encompasses the entire theme of the blog.
Shake the readers up by being deliberately counter to the normal thought process on a particular subject. Surprise them by fulfilling the title in an unusual way. They can be surprised and pleased by following the unusual plot twists of your blog posting. Educate them by completing the thought of the title with the body of your article.
Why let the reader walk away? Get them to blog through comments on your blog: Make an inquiry at the end of your blog post that simply motivates a blog reader to respond through further questions or comments by their blog responses. Simple hooks that keeps the reader participating in your blog by posting related information from their experiences will only increase the value of your blog website.
